When a generous donor was looking to leave a legacy piece to the city she loved, Outside Design was commissioned to create a landscape design plan that would be both inspiring and a gathering place. Located adjacent to a senior’s community centre and sports fields, the design included elements for people of all ages to enjoy. A highlight is the custom-made wave bench that is a conversation piece for adults, and point of interest for children. Outside Design also served as the project manager for the construction phase, ensuring the design elements carried through to the build.
Apartment Living Among Trees
An apartment building was positioned to save as many mature perimeter trees as possible on this site. A variety of horticultural and native planting were then added to accentuate the charm of the building’s architectural features.
North Vancouver marina
This walking trail at the marina was a joint project between the City of North Vancouver and the Squamish First Nation.
